UAE residents anticipating rains and strong winds heaved a sigh of relief to wake up to a fairly sunny Friday morning. With rough weather warning, residents were planning to stay mostly indoors and taking precautions not to travel outdoors for fear of being caught in a storm-like situation.

A spokesperson for the National Centre for Meterology (NCM) UAE said that the anticipation of the weather being rough had abated, the skies were partly cloudy and hazy, but there was a chance of strong winds accompanied by occasional rain in some parts of the country especially after sunset. NCMS website said the temperature would be between 18 degree — 26 degree C with a humidity of 36 per cent.

On its Twitter feed the NCMS described the skies as: “Partly cloudy in general and hazy at times, with a chance of convective cloud formation over the sea, northward and eastward of the country by afternoon. Day temperatures tend to show a gradual increase.”
