Dubai: If you’re venturing outdoors, don’t forget a hat and some sunscreen as temperatures creeping into the high 40s Celsius will continue on Thursday and beyond, the national weather bureau has advised.
Mirroring Wednesday’s temperatures in the high 40s from the coast and inland to mountainous areas in the east of the country, the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology said the hot windy conditions are set to prevail.
“Hot to very hot weather and hazy in general, partly cloudy at times, the amounts of medium clouds will increase especially over eastern and southern areas with probability of some slight rain during night and morning times,” the centre’s forecast stated.
Further, the “formation of some convective clouds is probable by afternoon over some eastern mountains. Moderate to fresh winds in general, causing dust clouds over exposed areas.
"The relative humidity will increase during night and morning over some coastal areas. Sea will be moderate, becoming rough at times over the Arabian Gulf and moderate over Oman sea.”
The forecast pointed to temperature highs of 45C in coastal areas, 49C in inland areas and 39C in the mountains.
