Dubai: If you’re planning to celebrate the UAE’s 43rd National Day outdoors this week, you are in luck with the weather bureau giving a positive forecast.

Weather forecasters at the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said the country is in for fair weather with a reasonable cloud cover in general for those planning to go out on picnics.

“Cloud cover will increase over the country on Monday and the northwesterly wind will accelerate at times but it will be just fine. We expect this situation to continue for the next two days,” a forecaster told Gulf News.

He said the clouds had been arriving from the west, from the direction of Saudi Arabia.

Light rain is expected over the islands, in the coastal areas, and in the western part of the country on Monday.

There will be a steady drop in temperature, with a maximum temperature of between 26 and 29 degrees Celsius.

However, the official advised people from heading out to sea, warning of swells as high as 11 feet offshore. The Arabian Gulf will be rough to very rough on Monday and Tuesday with strong winds at times, he added.
