Recruitment in the aviation industry remains robust, as evidenced by the number of recruitment campaigns scheduled in February and March by leading airlines in the region, including Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways.
Emirates Airlines has scheduled invitation-only and open day cabin crew assessment events between February and March in India, Sri Lanka, Australia and several other countries.
The recruitment campaigns will be held in New Delhi, Kolkata , Chennai, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Colombo, Minsk, Brussels, Antwerp, Sydney, Perth, Brisbane, Buenos Aires, Cairo and Paris, among others, according to the company’s website.
Etihad Airways also announced on Sunday that it is recruiting individuals “with outstanding hospitality experience” for its cabin crew. The airline’s international recruitment days, including CV drop assessments, will take place in five different cities: Kiev, London, Belgrade, Milan and Rome.
Job applicants in the UAE will have the opportunity to join the airline, with invitation-only assessments slated for 4, 11, 18 and 25 February.
There will also be open days for those interested to work as food and beverage managers and inflight chefs on 9 and 23 February.
“The recruitment days will offer potential applicants the opportunity to meet Etihad Airways’ recruitment specialists who will provide comprehensive information about living in Abu Dhabi and the dynamics of working with guests at 40,000 feet,” the company said in a statement.
The locations selected for recruitment days are considered important markets for Etihad.
“To support the rapid growth of Etihad Airways, we are hosting our recruitment drive in these cities, all of which are strategically important markets for the airline. In each we are expecting talented individuals with hospitality skills to join us at the recruitment days,” said Mark Scoble, Etihad Airways’ acting vice president for guest services.
“Our cabin crew team hails from more than 115 nationalities and benefits from extensive training and development, with tremendous career opportunities and new life experiences in the UAE.”
Qatar Airways has also launched recruitment campaigns in Africa, Eastern Europe and Asia Pacific. The airline said they have “lots of opportunities” for positions across the company and are seeking individuals with hospitality and customer services background.
The airline will be hosting at least 15 cabin crew recruitment events in several cities including Dubai, Muscat, Bahrain, Mumbai, Jakarta, Prague, Rome and Kuala Lumpur, among others.
