Sharjah: Sharjah Government employees will be entitled to one month’s leave with full pay to escort a member of the immediate family for treatment.

The Sharjah Executive Council issued resolution No 12 for 2014 granting employees at Sharjah government departments and bodies 30 days’ leave with full salary to accompany a sick family member who needs treatment inside the country.

The resolution was issued by the council during yesterday’s meeting chaired by Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the council, in the presence of Shaikh Abdullah Bin Salem Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the council

The leave will be given on submission of a medical report confirming the patient’s need for an escort during his medical treatment. The council may extend the leave determined by the relevant medical body in case it recommends the patient’s need for an escort for a longer period.

The council also launched the website and smart application of the ready-to-build home designs initiative (Sakan), which is part of the initiatives launched by the Government of Sharjah, represented by the Department of Housing, to provide ready-to-build designs, already approved, to all those contemplating building a house.

The initiative targets individuals wishing to build homes and real estate investments.

The council discussed a number of topics on its agenda and took appropriate decisions.
