Dubai: The Ministry of Environment and Water shut down a quarry in Fujairah for three months for violating environmental rules.
The ministry closed the quarry in coordination with authorities concerned for violating the Cabinet resolution on organising the activities of quarries and transport of their products.
This came after an inspection visit was carried out by specialists from the ministry to ensure quarries’ compliance with rules.
The ministry carries out regular inspections on quarries to ensure they abide by environmental rules.
