Dubai: An Emirati-Italian Strategic Partnership Forum will be held on April 14 in a bid to strengthen communication as well as commercial, economic and cultural cooperation between the UAE and Italy.

The forum is organised by the Dubai Press Club in collaboration with ANSA, Italy’s largest multimedia company, and under the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Mona Bu Samra, director of the Dubai Press Club, said that the event aims to increase the club’s role in developing the media industry and enhance professional cooperation with local, regional and international media outlets. More importantly, the forum will boost media cooperation between UAE and Italy as well as explore the prospects of cooperation in vital sectors in both countries.

ANSA CEO Giuseppe Cerbone said that the event aims to provide the means to increase communication, commercial, economic and cultural cooperation between Europe and the Arab World, and in particular between Italy and the UAE.

Senior officials and government representatives will take part in the Emirati-Italian Strategic Partnership, including Hamad Bu Ameem, Director- General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Dubai, and Ebrahim Al Abed, Director General of the National Media Council and Emirates News Agency(WAM).

Leading figures from Italy will also be present including Giorgio Starace, Italian Ambassador to the UAE, and Carlo De Filippi, EU Ambassador in the UAE, among other important representatives of Italian companies operating in the UAE.

ANSA will provide Italy and Europe with multimedia coverage of the conference in Italian, English and Arabic.
