Ras Al Khaimah: Two Emirati youths died and four others were injured in a road accident in Ras Al Khaimah early on Friday, Ras Al Khaimah Police said.

The two youths who were racing one another died on the spot after one of them lost control and his car overturned while the other smashed into a parked vehicle on the side of the road. Four others seriously injured.

The accident occurred at 12.30 am on Al Ittihad University road which heads to Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road.

Police moved all the injured to hospital.

The victims were in their 20s and were residents of Ras Al Khaimah city.

Police said the accident occurred due to speeding and reckless driving.

Sources at Saqr Hospital said that the condition of the four injured persons is now stable.

Ras Al Khaimah police have launched an investigation into the incident.
