Dubai: Two people were injured in a five-vehicle collision on Emirates Road on Tuesday morning.
Brigadier Saeed Hamad Bin Sulaiman, Director of Al Rashidiya police station, said that two of the drivers were injured, one sustained severe injuries and the other minor.
“We received the report about the accident at 9.15am from the operations room. The report stated that there is a five-vehicle collision on Emirates Road (Abu Dhabi-bound) after the Dubai Club bridge,” he said.
Brig Bin Sulaiman said that preliminary inspection of the scene showed that the damage to the cars was moderate to severe.
The five vehicles included a pick-up truck, a 4WD and three salons.
The pick-up overturned due to the impact and the 4WD was severely damaged.
