Fujairah: Two Emirati sisters who go to a university in the emirate died after their vehicle collided with bus carrying workers, a Fujairah police official confirmed to Gulf News.
The accident took place on Al Batha Road on Wednesday.
Police received a call about the accident and ambulances sent to the scene found the bodies of the two sisters.
The two sisters, in their twenties, were rushed to hospital but it was too late. Their bodies were then handed over to their families for burial.
Initial investigations revealed that the two sisters were studying in Fujairah Higher College of Technology and they were living in the city of Kalba.
Police said when after their private car collided with a bus, their vehicle veered off the road and overturned several times.
Police have reminded motorists to pay attention to the roads and refrain from speeding.
