Sharjah: A 37-year-old Filipino national was killed after his motorcycle crashed into a road barrier on Al Ittihad Road, between Al Nahda bridge and Al Kulafaa Al Rashdeen bridge on Wednesday.
Police operations room received a call at 4am reporting the incident and police patrols and paramedics moved to the scene. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident, and the body moved to Al Kuwaiti Hospital.
Sharjah Police launched an investigation into the incident, the second of its kind on the same road during the week. On April 24, a 25-year-old Afghan national was killed after his motorcycle crashed into a road barrier on Al Ittihad Road in the early hours.
Sharjah Police urged motorists to adhere to speed limits on various roads.
