Dubai: A minibus was completely gutted by fire on Dubai’s Oud Metha Road on Thursday.
Dubai Police tweeted at 12.08pm that a bus was on fire in front of Marriot Al Jadaf hotel on Al Khail road exit.
Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of Traffic Department in Dubai Police said the incident involved a minibus on Oud Metha Road on way to Al Ain. The minibus caught fire in front of Marriot Al Jadaf hotel on Al Khail Road exit on 12:08pm, he said.
Firefighters rushed to the scene with police patrols and controlled the fire in a few minutes.
“The driver said that he was surprised when fire started in the engine while it was moving. The fire was controlled and no injuries were reported,” Brigadier Al Mazroui said.
