Ras Al Khaimah: An Asian man died on the spot after being run over by a speeding car driven by a man who has no driving licence in Ras Al Khaimah on Monday night, police said on Tuesday.
Brigadier Hassan Ebrahim, deputy director of the Central Operations at Ras Al Khaimah Police, said the accident took place in front of Al Hamra Mall on Shaikh Mohammad Bin Salem Road.
The Asian victim, in his 30s, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the accident site after he was hit by a speeding vehicle driven by another Asian man in his 30s. Brig Ebrahim said that the driver who caused the accident did not have a driving licence.
The victim’s body was transferred to a hospital morgue. The Asian driver has been taken into police custody for questioning.
