Dubai: Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services and Group 32 launched a campaign to raise awareness about the importance of making room for ambulances on the road.

The ‘Give Way to Ambulances’ campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of making room for ambulances on the road, stressing that every minute can count in saving lives.

The campaign has been extended to coincide with the ‘Ramadan Without Accidents’ campaign, which is organised by Dubai Police, International Humanitarian City, Sky Dive Dubai and Gargash Enterprise.

The objective of making both campaigns coincide is to remind residents to adhere to traffic laws and reduce traffic deaths and injuries during Ramadan.

Khalifa Bin Darri, Executive Director of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, said this campaign is very important as it helps achieve the corporation’s objective, which is to reach those injured in the fastest time possible.

“There are many people who do not give way to ambulances, which delays them from reaching those in need. I call on the public to follow traffic laws and give way to ambulances that are on their way to aid people who are in desperate need of its services.”

Bin Darri said residents’ support and cooperation is vital to fulfil the campaign’s goal.
