Fujairah: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council visited the family to offer condolences after the tragic death of seven children in a home fire. 

Earlier, Lt-Gen Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior visited the mourning family and offered condolences.

 A day after the tragic deaths of seven siblings in a house fire in Rul Dhadna, the  little village on the east coast is still coming to terms with the shock.


An eerie silence captures the sombre mood of the villagers, which is only disturbed by the occasional movement of vehicles entering the village, as residents and dignitaries from across the country arrive in Rul Dhadna to offer their condolences to the Al Suraidi family.


 

The family buried seven of their loved ones aged between 5 and 13, including two five year old twins Sara and Sumaiyah on Monday.

A mourning tent has been set up near the central mosque of the village and the family has been receiving a steady stream of visitors since early morning.

According to a local official, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed is expected to visit the mourning tent today.
