Abu Dhabi: The UAE Civil Defence at the Ministry of Interior will organise the fifth Annual Fire Safety Technology Forum on March 2. The forum, organised under the patronage of Lt Gen Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, will be held in Abu Dhabi as a part of World Civil Defence Day celebrations, which is organised on March 1 every year to commemorate the sacrifices of firefighters across the globe.
Major General Rashid Thani Al Matroushi, Commander-in-Chief of the UAE Civil Defence, noted that the strategy of the Civil Defence focuses on the use of advanced technology in the provision of smart civil defence services in the field of awareness, prevention and protection.
He added the forum will address preparedness measures that should be in place to deal with fire emergencies at residential buildings promptly and effectively.
