Kalba: The body of a 14-year-old Emirati teen reported missing was found by police divers off Kalba on Sunday morning.

After a 14-hour search, the rescue team found the body, said Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Saif Al Zaabi, director of Kalba police station.

Rescue boats search the Kalba beach in search of the lost teen, identified by the initials H.S.S., following the accident on Saturday evening.

Police were called at 6.40pm after three Emirati teenagers got into trouble while venturing out at sea.

Two of them were rescued by fishermen who were close by while the third teen was taken away by the waves.

The police air wing also joined the search mission as relatives of the lost teen gathered on the shore and prayed for him to be found.

The survivors are Emiratis, aged 12 and 15. The incident took place on Saturday at around 6:40pm.

The two survivors were reportedly in good condition after being given first aid and were taken to a hospital. They have been discharged after receiving treatment.

Meanwhile, the police have ordered swimmers out of Kalba beach as the coast guard and rescue units continued a search for the missing teen.
