Ajman: Ajman Police reunited a five-year-old boy with his family after he had gone missing for hours from his apartment in their building in Al Swan area, police said on Saturday.
Captain Mohammad Bin Hazim Al Suwaidi, director of Social Police Department, said they were alerted about the incident in the early hours of Saturday.
The child, identified as F. A. K, was found missing by his Arab parents, who also noticed that the front door of their apartment was open.
“We searched the six floors of the building and found the child with an Arab family who found him crying in the corridor and housed him until they could find his parents. We handed the boy to his family with a gift and thanked the Arab family for taking care of the child,” Captain Al Suwaidi said.
Police urged parents to be more careful about their children and make sure that they have locked the doors at night to prevent such incidents.
