Sharjah: His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, yesterday (Sunday) launched a Diploma in Community Leadership at the University of Sharjah.
Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, was present.
Dr Shaikh Sultan praised the high academic performance and reputation attained by the Sharjah university after years of efforts. He expressed his hope that the university scientific research will serve the Arab and Muslim nations.
Dr Shaikh Sultan welcomed the students of the first batch enrolled in the diploma programme and wished them success in their studies and in acquiring the needed experiences and skills to engage in professional life after graduation.
“With the blessings of Almighty Allah, the UAE has become one of the most advanced and developed countries. We should be grateful and thankful to God and work devotedly to strengthen our society and develop it further, to keep pace with the progress achieved in all areas and cope with its future requirements,” Dr Shaikh Sultan said.
