Al Ain: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Monday attended the graduation of the 47th batch of air cadets and cadet pilot officers from the Khalifa Bin Zayed Air College in Al Ain.

Addressing the graduates, Shaikh Mohammad said: “I am proud of you and the high level of your scientific and military education, as well as of the high military skills and physical fitness you have demonstrated during the military parade.”

Shaikh Mohammad said the graduation coincides with the celebrations of the 46th National Day, which we cherish under the leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler`s Representative in Al Ain Region, Shaikh Mansour Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Mohammad Ahmad Al Bawardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Lieutenant General Hamad Mohammad Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, a number of Shaikhs and senior officials attended the graduation ceremony.

After the UAE national anthem, Shaikh Mohammad, accompanied by Brigadier Pilot Khalaf Nasser Al Qubaisi, Commander of the college, inspected the cadets. The graduate cadets then saluted Shaikh Mohammad before taking their oath and pledged allegiance to the UAE and President Shaikh Khalifa.

The graduates also pledged to maintain the safety and security of the UAE, obey the orders of their commanders and all orders issued from the leaders to safeguard the nation and harness all their potential, knowledge and command skills in serving the nation.

Shaikh Mohammed presented the top 10 cadet officer graduates with appreciation awards and congratulated them on their excellence and outstanding achievement. He wished them success in serving their country and peoples.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Shaikh Mohammed posed for a group photo with the graduates. He praised the college, and described it as a glorious academic institute. He also expressed pride in the graduates and their commitment to serve and protect their country.

Shaikh Mohammad urged the air cadets and pilot officers to continue their training and to strive for more academic achievements so that they can one day serve as leaders in the UAE Armed Forces.

On the sidelines of the graduation ceremony, Shaikh Mohammad received ambassadors and military attaches from the embassies of friendly countries in the UAE. They congratulated Shaikh Mohammad on the occasion of the UAE National Day, and on the graduation of a new batch of cadet pilot officers from the college.
