Dubai: The results of Grade 12 Indian Curriculum board, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), have been delayed by a day, according to senior officials of the board in New Delhi, India. Instead of being declared on May 20 they will now be declared latest by 8 am on May 21, the official clarified.
This year the board had brought forward the result date by nearly two weeks and there was much anticipation among students.
The official said: "The board officials want to run the final software tally on the results and make sure there is zero error in computing the results. We do not want to rush through the announcement and although everything is in we are conducting a rigorous check before making the result available in public domain.."
Following the announcement of the early dates, students were waiting and there were rumors of results being pushed to May 23.
However, board officials assured that the maximum delay would not be more than 24 hours!
