Dubai: A new school is coming up in Dubai next fall. Clarion School, located on Al Asayel Street, is scheduled to open its doors on September 4.

The school, owned by Scholars International Group, will initially offer pre-kindergarten (pre-K) and grades one to three, but there are plans to offer grades four to 12 as well in the future, Kandace Williams, superintendent at Clarion School, told Gulf News by phone. The school will offer an American curriculum.

“This is the first affiliate school of Bank Street-School for Children based in New York … we chose Dubai because of its similarities with New York. They’re both innovative and creative,” Williams said.

The school expects to have 250 students enrolled in its first year of operation, and aims to have 1,200 students in four years’ time.

School fees per annum range from Dh43,000 for pre-K students to Dh76,500 for grades one to three, Williams said.
