Dubai: In cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation (MBRF) will organise the fourth Arab Knowledge Report workshop in London.

The workshop, which will focus on youth education and employment, will also shed light on the outcome of the previous report and the localisation of knowledge.

Jamal Bin Huwaireb, Managing Director of MBRF, said the workshop will contribute to the organiser’s preparations for the second Knowledge Conference which will be held later this year.

“The workshops will also provide the opportunity for team efforts on the Arab Knowledge Report and the Arab Knowledge Index, and help understand the best practices and methodologies in generating accurate results for the index. These efforts will enable Arab societies to identify clearly the real challenges facing knowledge production and find effective solutions to address them,” he said.

Bin Huwaireb added that the workshops are part of the foundation’s plans to contribute to the sustainable development of Arab societies. He added that the latest workshop will be held in London, following those held in Jordan, New York and Paris, which highlighted best international practices in the field of knowledge, education and employment.

The report explores the current status of Arab youth in terms of skills and values required for effective integration of knowledge and their contribution in cultural, political and social arenas.
