2005

Size of roads network is about 8,715 Lane-km and 3,077 CL–km. (CL is commercial lane)

 

2014

roads network size reached 12,454 Lane-km and 3,940 CL-km,

 

 

2007

Roads network size is about 9,198 Lane-km and 3,263 CL–km.

 

2009

roads network size reached 10,808 Lane Km and 3,498 CL-km.

 

The rate of road network increase in two years: about 18%

 

 

2011

roads network size is about 11,468 Lane-km and 3639 CL–km.

 

The rate of road network increase from 2009-2011: about 7%

In 2013 roads network size reached 11,887 Lane-km and 3,758 CL-km.

 

 

2014

roads network size reached 12,454 Lane-km and 3,940 CL-km.

 

“The roads network increased from the time of the foundation of RTA in 2005 until 2014 by about 50 per cent — a period of nine years — which can be considered a great achievement in the field of transportation,” said Maitha Bin Udai, CEO of RTA’s Traffic and Roads Agency.
