Dubai: A new outdoor market offering products from 32 exhibitors from around the world opens today (Wednesday) at Umm Suqeim 2 harbour.

This is the fifth time Dubai Customs has organised the project, which is expected to attract many tourists and residents interested in buying clothes, footwear, antiques, gifts, accessories and handicrafts.

The market, called Marina, was an idea proposes by the Fishermen Harbours team at Dubai Customs after the completion of the Fishermen Harbours Development Project in Jumeirah and Umm Suqeim.

The project was meant to help traditional fishermen improve their livelihood, and revive the UAE’s rich heritage.

The hugely popular market will be open from 9am to 2pm.
