Sharjah: A 49-year-old Indonesian woman succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday night after a run-over accident in Al Qarayan area of Sharjah the same day, a police official said
The accident took place around 9pm. Police patrols and paramedics moved to the scene of the incident where the woman was pronounced dead.
The body of the deceased was moved to Al Qasimi Hospital while the motorist who caused the accident has been taken into police custody for questioning.
In a separate accident, a 28-year-old Pakistani man was killed and three others from the same nationality were seriously injured after the car they were travelling in turned over on Maleiha Road.
Police said the driver was driving at high speed when he lost control over his vehicle.
The police operations room received call on Tuesday at around 11pm reporting the incident. An official at Al Dhaid Hospital told Gulf News that the hospital received the body of a Pakistani man and three critically injured people who were admitted to the intensive care unit.
