Sharjah: Sharjah Police have busted a four-member gang, who allegedly broke into a number of warehouses and stole electrical wires and copper pipes. All the suspects are from Pakistan, police said.

The Industrial Area police station received information about the robbery and formed a team to arrest the gang. Upon receiving the tip off, police found large numbers of the stolen items during a raid of the suspects’ homes. During interrogation, the suspects confessed to having broken into the warehouses. The suspects have been referred to the public prosecution for further action. Sharjah Police have urged shopkeepers and owners of the warehouses to improve security measures in order to protect their premises.

“We continue to urge owners of warehouses and shops to tighten their security and install security cameras to prevent such crimes from taking place. It is also important to install enough lights in the area so that police patrols find it easier to stop any suspicious activities,” the police official added.
