Ras Al Khaimah: Two Arab men were arrested for selling sex enhancement drugs and drugs used to induce abortion.
Ras Al Khaiumah Criminal Investigation Department, in coordination with Ajman Police, arrested the two men and found a large stash of other assorted drugs and pills in their residence.
Lt Col Khalid Bin Faisal Al Qasimi, Director of the Organised Crime Department at Ras Al Khaimah CID, said they received information about an Arab man who was selling a brand name prescription drug that is used to induce abortion on the internet.
The man was followed and arrested. Investigations then revealed that the man who was arrested was only delivering the drugs and depositing the money in another person’s account.
Further investigation led the police to the other man, who lived in Ajman, and Ajman Police arrested him.
Lt Col Al Qasimi said that the organised crime department monitors such cases as well as online trading of illegal materials.
He urged the public to report to the police anyone who sells or trades in illegal substances on social media or the internet.
