Abu Dhabi: Three suspects accused of carrying out illegal Botox injections without a medical license in the private homes of women were arrested and referred to the Public Prosecution by the Abu Dhabi Police.

Announcing the arrests on Thursday, Colonel Mubarak Saif Al Sabousi, director of Al Ain Police Department, said the department was tipped off about the group — which included a husband and wife — and their illegal operations in Al Ain.

Al Sabousi said the suspects were caught red-handed as they were giving a Botox injection at a private home of a woman, with all the materials used for the procedure also confiscated by the police.

The three suspects confessed during questioning, and said they had been giving Botox injections illegally for four months, charging clients Dh6,000 per injection.
