Sharjah: A 16-year-old Arab boy died two days after a physical fight fuelled by sniffing glue with friends who have since been arrested, an official at Sharjah Police told Gulf News on Monday.

The victim identified as A.M.Sh. was from Comoros Islands.

Police said a fight apparently broke out among three young men [including the victim] who allegedly were sniffing glue in Al Buteenah area of Sharjah.

The victim was attacked by the other two teenagers — a Sudanese and a Yemeni — both aged 16, and he sustained a fracture in his nose.

He was left on the road in a bad condition after which witnesses called the police. Police and paramedics rushed to the scene where they found the victim in a bad condition. He was taken to Al Kuwaiti Hospital but he died two days later.

Wasit police are investigating the incident and two suspects have been taken to custody for questioning.
