Sharjah: An investigation has been launched after a man was found hanging in Khalid Port on Thursday morning, a Sharjah Police official told Gulf News.
The body of the 27-year-old Indian victim was found inside an old ship docked at Khalid Port in Sharjah. The discovery was made by workers at the port.
The police operations room received call reporting the incident.
A police patrol, paramedics and a team from CID moved to the scene of the incident after the crime was reported.
The man was transferred to Kuwaiti Hospital around 3pm where he was pronounced dead. The body was moved to the forensic laboratory for an autopsy to establish the cause of his death and whether any foul play was involved or it was a suicide.
The case is with Al Buhairah police and witnesses have been summoned.
