Ras Al Khaimah: Seven suspected drug dealers were arrested after officers found a large quantity of narcotic substances in their possession.
The suspects are of Asian nationality.
Authorities began investigation after receiving information that some individuals of Asian nationality were promoting new and dangerous type of narcotic drugs, and that all their customers belonged to the same nationality.
Police formed teams to track down the main suspect and arrested him along with his partners.
Colonel Adnan Ali Al Za’abi, director-general of Ras Al Khaimah Police’s Anti-Narcotics Department, said the suspects were promoting the drugs among people of his nationality using different methods to avoid police detection.
The suspects confessed to their crime during interrogation and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
