Abu Dhabi: There were no major fires during Ramadan and Eid, Abu Dhabi’s top Civil Defence official said on Monday.
The absence of such incidents shows the effectiveness of their awareness programme, pointed out Major-General Jasem Mohammad Al Marzouqi, Civil Defence General Commander-in-chief, Abu Dhabi. He added that it showed the requirements and standards that have been developed in order to avoid any fire accidents inside Ramadan tents and public places have been followed.
The official said the awareness campaigns will continue and their teams will be ready to deal with any incidents in close coordination with other departments that deal with disasters to safeguard people’s life and property.
