Ajman: Police have arrested an Asian man seen behind the death of his work colleague whose body was found in a decomposed state in Al Jurf industerial area in Ajman.
The body of the victim bore stab wounds. Agents of the Criminal Investigations Department found the body lying on the ground, covered with blood.
Police said the suspect, identified by his initials S.K., was arrested for allegedly killing the victim using a sharp tool.
Major Ahmad Saeed Al Nuaimi, Deputy Director of CID, said the police were able to uncover the case after an intensive investigation.
Police formed a team immediately after the body was found.
The team initially suspected a number of people linked to the crime. Further investigations helped the police positively identify the suspect and arrested him in Sharjah.
Police found the suspect was hiding in a warehouse in Al Saja area in Sharjah.
Upon interrogating the supect told police that he and the suspect were having a dispute and he had stabbed him in his head and abdomen.
The suspect admited he had buried the sharp tool near the crime scene and fled.
The suspect confessed to his crime and his case was transferred to Public Prosecution.
Maj Al Nuaimi praised the efficiency of the police and their efforts in arresting the suspect and solving the case.
He urged the public to report any person attempting to commit any crime or any other offense punishable by law.
