Sharjah: An investigation is ongoing to determine whether or not there is any foul play involved in the case of the Indian man who fell from the third floor after rolling out of his bunk bed and out of the balcony in Sharjah.

The body was handed over to forensics to determine whether the man was drunk or if there are evidence to prove it was not an accident.

The incident, as reported by Al Ittihad Arabic daily, took place on Tuesday.

The Sharjah Operations Room received a call around 6am from Al Kuwaiti Hospital, stating that a man who was severely injured and was brought in by his roommates who claimed he fell from the third floor, was dead, as reported by the Arabic daily

The man lived in worker’s accommodation in a building in Sharjah’s industrial area.

When police questioned the people who brought the deceased to the hospital, they said that the deceased, S.F., 24, worked at a private company in the area.

His colleagues told the police that S.F. occupied the top bunk of a three-storey bunk bed, which was right next to the balcony and that he fell out of it while sleeping.
