Sharjah Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a Pakistani man who was was found hanging in a hotel apartment on Wednesday.

The 44-year-old man identified as A.S., was found hanging at the hotel apartment in Al Naba’a area here, the police said.

The man, who is married with four children, was found hanging by a belt.

A police team rushed to the spot after receiving information of the incident around 7am.

Al Gharb police station is investigating the incident.

A spokesperson from the hotel apartment told Gulf News: “Our thoughts are with his family and we will do all we can to help them in this difficult time.”

The man was found by the hotel apartment staff.

He was staying in the hotel for the past five months and was described by hotel staff as “a good man”.

He lived with his wife and four children, including three boys and a girl aged 10, 7, 5 and 2 months old.

It was not clear if his wife and children were present in the hotel when the incident happened.
