Ras Al Khaimah: A man was found dead behind a construction site in Ras Al Khaimah and police said they are investigating whether foul play was involved, say police.
Colonel Abdullah Ali Munkis, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police, said the body was found on Monday morning behind a building under construction.
It was discovered by construction workers at the site which belongs to a local company, police said, adding that it was sent to the coroner for examination.
The initial investigation shows that the body belonged to an Arab in his 40s, and the death occurred only a few hours before it was reported to the police operation room.
Police said they had opened an investigation into the incident to determine the circumstances of the case and whether it involves any criminal activity.
Last week, Sharjah Police began investigations into the discovery of a decomposed body found at a construction site in Moleih area of Sharjah.
Sharjah Police at the time said the body of the man had been identified and was that of a 39-year-old Indian man.
The death was believed to be a suicide but police were investigating to confirm the cause.
