Sharjah: Sharjah Police have arrested an Asian man for allegedly murdering a compatriot by attacking him with a sharp object in Al Musalla area, an official said.
The suspect confessed to murdering his compatriot over a dispute. Police investigation is ongoing.
Police operations room received a call saying a man was lying in a pool of blood in Al Musalla area.
The police found the man’s body with several stab wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the body moved to forensic laboratory for autopsy.
The police found out that the victim was involved in a fight with a group of men who stabbed him and fled to Umm Al Quwain. Later, investigators managed to identify the main suspect and arrested him in coordination with Umm Al Quwain Police.
The arrested man confessed to his crime and the case was referred to the public prosecution.
