Dubai: An Indian bus driver is in court for allegedly groping the buttocks of a woman passenger.
Prosecution records show the incident took place when the driver asked the 37-year-old Egyptian to stand next to his seat as there was no space in the bus.
“He stuck his hand out of an opening in the glass partition and touched me. He did it twice,” the woman said. However, the driver denied the charges and instead blamed the woman’s bulging buttocks for the misunderstanding.
“She has a large frame. When her back was pinned to the glass partition, her buttock bulged out of the opening, touching my hand. The accusation is beyond logic and comprehension,” he said. The case has been adjourned.
