The suspects got scared and decided to abandon their bid to break into the warehouse and fled from the scene, according to records.

A Chinese businesswoman, who had rented the warehouse to store the imported baby clothes, discovered that one of the locks had been broken when she visited the warehouse one morning.

She reported the matter to the police before primary interrogations revealed that the three suspects had been involved in the attempted robbery at the warehouse.

The trio pleaded not guilty when they appeared before the Dubai Court of First Instance on Monday.

A police sergeant told prosecutors that the trio were apprehended shortly after the 33-year-old suspect was identified through the CCTV cameras.

“During questioning, they admitted that they had planned to break into the warehouse and steal clothes. They claimed that once they broke one of the locks, a car drove nearby and they fled from the scene. They also said that they got rid of the iron scissors in Ras Al Khor area.
