Ajman: Ajman Police launched an initiative entitled ‘My Car’ to help renew car registration card of individuals, local companies and government departments online.

The new initiative will be activated by the beginning of January 2015.

The programme also provides the opportunity for the public to renew their registration card without approaching the traffic department and staying in long lines at a queue.

The customer has to log on the programme ‘My Car’ and fill out the information and pay the fees using credit cards and e-dirham.

The customer should immediately receive a message confirming the renewal of the car. The procedures must be done after obtaining insurance policy and certificate of validity of the car after inspection.

Lt Col Ali Humaid Al Musaibi, Deputy Director of Criminal Investigation Department at the Ajman Police and Acting Director of Patrol and Traffic Department at Ajman Police, said that the police would spread awareness among public and companies to educate them how they can use the new service.

He urged all companies based in the emirate to obtain an account number with a password on the website to use the service.

“This service is free, providing and facilitating renewal of registration card thus helping reduce crowds at the traffic department and helping people save time,” he said

Lt Col Al Musaibi said that this initiative is part of the ministry of interior unified services project aimed providing best service to public and companies in the emirate.
