Marib: The Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation launched a project that aims to distribute 100,000 books to 20 different libraries in Yemeni provinces.

The project coincides with World Reading Day, which falls on April 23, and was inaugurated by Abdul Aziz Al Jabari, Yemen’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Civil Service and Insurance.

Al Jabari stressed the importance of knowledge and reading, and pointed out that ignorance is one of the reasons behind what’s happening in Yemen today.
