Canberra: Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, on Tuesday met with Australia's Foreign Minister, Julie Bishop, in the Australian capital, the official news agency WAM reported.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, especially in the field of investments exchange, the establishment of more joint projects, as well as increasing trade.

The parties also tackled ways to benefit from the outstanding economic statures of both sides, and open up new horizons of joint investment in various domains including tourism, petrochemicals and other industries for the mutual benefit of the two sides.

Shaikh Abdullah and Ms. Bishop also discussed the latest regional and international developments, as well as exchanging views on a number of issues of mutual concerns.

At the end of the meeting, Shaikh Abdullah attended a banquet hosted by the Australian minister in his honour.

The banquet was also attended by Minister for Trade and Investment, Andrew Robb, and Shaikh Sultan Bin Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Director of East Asia and Pacific at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
