Ramallah: A United Nation report has uncovered that Israel’s month long offensive on Gaza in July had a signfiant impact on the reproductive health of women. The report titled “Victims in the Shadow” said that because the severe shortage of medical facilities due to bombardment, pregnant women and women in labor were discharged prematurely, which negatively affected their health and the health of their babies. Israel’s assault killed 250 women, including 16 pregnant women. The number of new borns who died after birth also increased due to the poor hospital conditions during the offensive.
