Ramallah: A Palestinian woman has been arrested in the West Bank town of Nablus after she shot at her husband for secretly marrying another woman.
Sources said the woman from Kofr Qallil got into a bus at the taxi stand of Nablus while wearing a veil (niqab) to avoid detection by her husband.
After her husband and his new wife got into the same vehicle, the woman pulled out a gun and shot her husband.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital and survived the gunshot wound.
Police arrested the woman, who was heard shouting, “I have killed this animal. He deserves it. That is his punishment for cheating on me.”
According to the new Sharia laws, a man can not remarry without telling his first wife.
