Ramallah Gazans are being murdered as such an alarming rate that families of the victims have not had the chance to give their relatives proper burials. Gazan morgues are now full to their capacities and families are urged to bury their loved ones immediately to make room for more bodies. Many corpses have been left in the corridors and entrances of hospitals for their families to collect. Nor can the families of the victims delay the funerals until a ceasefire or truce is reached between Israel and the Palestinian resistance led by Hamas. This is because the morgues in all Gaza based hospitals are full and the families of the victims have been repeatedly urged to accept the bodies of the victims for burials to produce room for incoming bodies to the morgues. Such is the pressure on the morgues that on several occasions, victims of the Israeli assault (which has largely targeted civilians) were left in the corridors and entrances of the hospitals for their families to collect and bury. Dr. Mohammad Samir Hamad of Al Shifaa Hospital told Gulf News that some of the families have even buried their dead in some dilapidated houses near the hospitals. Sources in the Al Baker clan told Gulf News that the issue of the dead people and the capacity of the Gaza based morgues will be among the first addressed and resolved. The sources said that that under all circumstances the position of the martyr should not be downplayed or downgraded.
