Sana’a: A Yemeni father decided to put an end to his sons’ disobedience by tossing two grenades at them when they were together at his house in Yemeni capital Sana'a.

Police said on the weekend that the father, 70, ran out of patience due to his sons ignoring his orders. After exhausting many methods of discipline, the father decided to bomb them.

Shortly after his sons entered his house, the father threw the grenades in. The ministry of interior’s official website said that the sons, aged 22 and 30, suffered shrapnel wounds in their legs, and were being treated in a hospital in the capital. Police arrested the dad.

Separately, police arrested a 30-year-old man who threw his wife into a well causing her death in the northern province of Hajja. The police did not elaborate on the husband’s motives, but similar cases are usually attributed to family disputes.
