Abu Dhabi: UAE fighter jets carried out successful air raids on locations controlled by Al Houthis on Friday as part of the Arab Coalition’s Storm of Resolve operation in Yemen.

The airstrikes targeted air defence system in Sana’a, Sada and Hudaida, plus land to land missiles systems, leadership and control centres, and warehouses in Ma’rib.

All fighters returned safely to their basis.

The UAE is part of an Arab Coalition led by Saudi Arabia and includes more than 10 countries committed to protecting the people of Yemen and their legitimate government against the violent and fundamentalist Al Houthis.

The UAE has deployed 30 fighter jets alongside Saudi Arabia’s 100, 15 apiece from Kuwait and Bahrain, and ten from Qatar. Saudi Arabia has so far committed 150,000 military personnel to the cause.

Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Sudan, and Pakistan are also part of operation Storm of Resolve.
