Abu Dhabi: The UAE Armed Forces completed the training of a new batch of fighters from Yemen’s Popular Resistance so they can join the Yemeni Armed Forces affiliated to the legitimate government.
The fighters were subjected to intensive training in field and military skills, as well as topography, internal security, first aid and the use of various weaponry.
The graduation ceremony was attended by military officials from both the countries. Major General Ahmad Saif Al Yafei, Commander of the Fourth Governorate in the Yemeni Armed Forces, said that this was a great step towards setting a Yemeni army that is capable of defending the nation and safeguarding the regime in Aden.
Al Yafei said batches of graduates will be dispatched to the Arab Coalition’s military and staff colleges following their promotion to the rank of officers.
