Manama: Saudi Arabia's Interior Ministry has identified the second suicide bomber in Friday’s mosque attack is an Egyptian national, the interior ministry said.

Talha Hisham Mohammad Abdah had arrived in Saudi Arabia in July 2013 on a family visa to join his father, a resident in the kingdom, the ministry said.

Abdah, who failed to detonate his explosives belt, is currently being treated after he was wounded during his attempt.

The ministry added that it was still investigating the terrorist attack on a mosque in Al Ahsa in the Eastern Province that killed four Saudis and injured 33 others, including three security men.

On Saturday, Saudi authorities identified the perpetrator of the bomb as Abdul Rahman Bin Abdullah Bin Sulaiman Al Tuwaijri, a 22-year-old Saudi national.

"The security forces will continue their efforts to identify and track down all those involved in the attack through planning, execution, support and direct or indirect incitement," the ministry pledged.
